Camping in Epirus
We have secured the use of a 100 hectare site in southern Albania (Epirus) where we are able to provide a range of camping experiences for complete beginners and gnarled veterans alike. Whether you prefer relaxed camping (with wine), or wild camping (also with wine), there is room to accommodate you.
The main site is adjacent to one of the National Parks, within easy minibus trip to the Adriatic coast and various local attractions. Programs can vary according to individual requirements and can include both base-camp and wilderness environments.
For basic casual camping purposes the site has access to fresh water and electricity supplies, there are toilets AND showers. Turn up, pitch your tent, enjoy the scenery.
For the wilderness camping packages the prices will include all accommodation (base-camp and scenario-based multi-night hikes), skills workshops, equipment hire (tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, etc), professional mountain guides and ex-military instructors, basic wilderness catering, and transfers to/from nearest airport. More details to follow.
Or, if you prefer something a little more comfortable, we also have access to a small villa just outside Gjirokaster … or a boutique Ottoman-era hotel in the very centre of the city, near the castle itself. The town is easily reached either from Tirana, or Corfu (with ferry connection to the mainland near Sarandë). It goes without saying that Albanian wine is superb!
